One of the tasks I undertook working for ACC Liverpool was to redesign the guide of upcoming events of Echo Arena.
The previously used two-page flyer was not enough to host the constantly growing event list anymore, so there was a need for a four-page leaflet.
The design had to be fresh, modern and eye-catching, yet clean and easy to read.
I started experimenting with a variety of elements. Inspired by the way I usually keep notes to remind me of events that I want to attend, I came up with the idea of designing the front and the back pages looking like a board with notes and pictures. For the background I used a strong, eye-catching colour.
For the inner pages, with the event listings, I followed the same idea with hand sketched details, notepad textures and a light shade of the main colour for the background.
After redesigning the flyer I changed the magazine and newspaper advertisements as well as the posters to match the new look and feel.
It was decided to create a different colour identity every month in order to make it easy for people to recognise the newest flyer or advertisement. At the same time, this makes the design look new and fresh every time.
